Residents and businesses are invited to attend one of the biggest Career, Jobs and Training Fairs sponsored by the London Boroughs of Enfield and Haringey, next month.

The event aims to help local people find employment as well as giving companies looking to recruit within the boroughs the chance of finding first class employees.

The event at Trinity-at-Bowes Centre Plus is the first organised jointly by Enfield and Haringey Councils and is taking place on Friday 18 October between 10am and 3pm.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Business and Regeneration, Cllr Del Goddard, said: ”This is a great opportunity for job seekers and businesses to find suitable jobs and employees and will greatly benefit both parties.

“We are determined to do all we can to tackle unemployment and provide businesses in this borough with the support they need to identify and recruit good quality employees who can help them flourish in the future.”

Haringey Council’s Cabinet Member for Employment, Cllr Joe Goldberg, said: “We’re committed to helping Haringey residents into lasting work, and this fair is a great chance to connect local businesses with enthusiastic job hunters.

“We want to work with more firms to give our residents the right skills and training they need through apprenticeships and full-time positions to bring down unemployment in Haringey.”

Haringey Council offers a comprehensive support package for those looking for jobs, training and volunteering opportunities, including at Tottenham’s 639 Enterprise Centre, which boasts space and practical help from experts to those starting their own business.
