Greater Anglia pledges better services

Published Tuesday, 08 October 2013

A train operator has promised to improve cleanliness and keep its ticket offices open for longer after complaints from Enfield Council.

Greater Anglia agreed to keep its Enfield Town ticket office open later where necessary after complaints that long queues were being generated at the auto pay machines by football fans travelling to Tottenham Hotspur weekday European matches. The company also promised to try to do more to deal with “poor” quality cleaning on the platforms.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond, said: “We need a good quality, safe train service which meets the needs of residents, we identified some issues that were of concern to residents and we are grateful that Greater Anglia have promised to sort them out.”
