Continued customer service excellence

The Environment Department at Enfield Council has again been awarded with a Customer Service Excellence accreditation in recognition of how well it deals with residents and customers.

The department first won the award in 2011, and has retained it for three years running. As new services have joined the department over the years, they have been added into the accreditation. This year, the Council’s Parks Service, which has eight Green Flag awards, was included for the first time in the assessment.

The independent assessor identified a number of areas of excellence, including the departments approach to Equality and Diversity and their commitment to making the most of new technology to provide residents and other customers with a wider range of ways to contact and interact with the department.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond, said: “It’s brilliant that the Environment department retained this award for a third year. It shows their hard work and dedication to the public really does pay off.

“I have every confidence that the directorate will strive to continue serving the public with excellent customer service standards. As they have already shown that gaining these awards does not stop them trying their best to keep improving the service they provide.”
