Enfield's finest young musicians to give concert

Enfield Young Symphony Orchestra will be giving a concert at the United Reform Church in Palmers Green on December 9 at 7:30pm.

Tickets can be purchased in advanced from the Enfield Music Service or on the door. Tickets are £7.50 for adults or £6.50 with concessions and family tickets for four are available for £24.00.

The scheduled programme includes Rossini’s Overture to L’Italiana in Algeri, Elgar’s Wand of Youth Suite No.2, Sibelius’s Karelia Suite and Schubert’s Unfinished Symphony.

Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Youth and Localism said, “It will be a real pleasure to see how well our young musicians are performing and I would like as many people as possible to support them by going to the concert”.

The Music Service also offers an Advanced String Players Course for players Grade 6 and above. The dates are 2 January between 10am-5pm and on 3 January between 9:30am-4:30pm and it will be held at St Michael’s Primary School, Brigadier Hill, Enfield.

The closing date to book places on this course is December 13.
