Please see below important information for visitors to the Civic Centre.

Improvements to the heating and cooling systems at Enfield Civic Centre

Old heating and cooling equipment is to be removed and new boilers and cooling units installed by crane onto floor 11 of the Civic Centre in Silver Street,  Enfield.

Because of the size of the equipment, it will be transported on a very large crane which will be positioned near to the goods-in area in the car park entrance slip road next to the police station.

This will mean that this entrance to public parking will be sealed off and closed for all vehicle and pedestrian traffic from 5pm on Friday 22 November until 7pm on Sunday 1 December.

On the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend commencing 23 November the staff car park will be closed to the public.

So that the Civic Centre can operate as normally as possible during this period a number of changes will be put into place:
- Entry and exit to the public and staff car parks on the ground floor will be via the current exit to Churchbury Lane. The basement car park flows will remain the same.
- Additional signage will be provided prior to the closure for advanced notification and during the event.
- Professional traffic management personnel and additional security will be in place during this period.
- Visitors to the Civic Centre who have come for meetings should always vacate with and remain with their host.
- Visitors that have come to use services on the ground floor and in D Block must evacuate via the main entrance, they will be assisted by fire wardens.
