Published Tuesday, 29 October 2013

If you are interested in the fine art of drawing flowers then this is for you. Taught by local botanical artist Julie Whelan (DipSBA), it will take participants through the importance of precision and the attention to colour and detail that is required.

Students are asked to bring with them a list of materials, (see website below for details), with the subject matter supplied by the tutor.

Beginners are very welcome. Early booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Youth and Localism said “Botanical art is such a wonderful skill, not only used for the illustration of scientific journals, but also for the pleasure of the drawing itself.

“This class introduces beginners to this fascinating craft, led by artist Julie Whelan, and allows anyone interested in finding out more to come along and learn exactly how to capture the beauty and intricacy of plants on paper.”
