Another boost for business this Christmas

The authority said shoppers will be able to park for FREE on Saturday 19 December, Boxing Day, Bank Holiday Monday, 28 December and 2 January.

The news follows the Council's decision earlier this year to provide FREE parking on Bank Holiday weekends.

Cllr Terry Neville - cabinet member for environment said: "The Christmas period is crucial to business, especially in this fragile economic climate, so we decided to give traders another helping hand.

"Hopefully these extra free parking days means shoppers will be able to dig a little deeper to buy that special present for their loved ones."
