People of all ages and local community groups are being encouraged to take part.

This new building will replace the old Ordnance Road library and will also include a GP surgery, dentists and a community space. It is being developed by Enfield Council and NHS (England).

The winner of the competition will receive a mystery prize and the chance to take a starring role in the opening ceremony for the building.

Construction company Grahams, started the demolition on 24 July and are on course to complete this phase of the works in the next few weeks.

Cllr Ahmet Oykener, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Halls, said, “Our challenge asks people to think of a name for this building – a name for the present and for the future. We want a lively name that can stand the test of time and mean something for generations to come.”

The competition is open to people in all parts of the borough, but will appeal to those living in the area. The closing date is 5pm Monday 30 September - Full details
