Published Thursday, 18 July 2013

Enfield Council has unveiled a bumper programme of fun for Love Parks Week to encourage residents to see what the borough's 123 pristine open spaces can offer them, their friends and family.

The week between 27 July and 4 August, features events ranging from family fun days to wildlife walkabouts, volunteering opportunities, fishing demonstrations and taster sessions in games such as bowls and croquet.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond, said: "Love Parks Week is a great opportunity to find out more about the fantastic facilities and settings our parks have to offer.

"Regardless of your interests, there is something for everyone taking place during Love Parks Week, so why not get yourselves out into the great outdoors and take part in the fabulous activities on offer.

"We're one of the greenest boroughs in London and we want to get as many people as possible out and about in our parks, and enjoying everything they have to offer."
