Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Business and Regeneration, Cllr Del Goddard, said: "We're forging ahead with delivering real improvements to New Southgate.  We listened to what residents wanted and we are delivering a programme of significant improvements to the entire area so it can be opened up and made more attractive for the whole neighbourhood to enjoy.

"Our plan from the start was to deliver real improvements that helped to design out crime and anti social behaviour and turn New Southgate into a thriving, pleasant and vibrant area for everyone. We know there is still work to be done, but we are well on our way to achieving our aim."
