Green Fingered Geniuses Sought for Enfield in Bloom

Published Friday, 24 May 2013

The hunt is on for gardening gurus who can transform barren patches of earth into flowery explosions of colour and fun for this year's Enfield in Bloom Competition.

This year's judging of the council funded competition, will take place between 17-28 June, with prizes on offer in a wide range of categories including best large, medium and small front garden, best residential street, best public house and best school grounds.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Chris Bond, said: "Every year the quality of the entries to Enfield in Bloom is of a fantastically high standard and we hope people do themselves proud again in 2013.

"We are one of the greenest borough's in London and the people living here have a real affinity with their gardens and a huge amount of talent for growing superb floral displays. There is plenty of scope in this year's competition for people to show off their skills and work with neighbours and friends to enter some of the community categories so I'd urge residents to get involved."
