Cllr Achilleas Georgiou, Deputy Leader said “I am extremely proud that Cllr Hamilton and Cllr Simbodyal have been shortlisted for the Council Achievement Awards.
“Both councillors work extremely hard in their wards, and their wider portfolios, to serve local people in what are fast becoming incredibly tough economic times. Both deal with key issues such as crime, health, young people in difficulty and all these areas are made worse when a borough suffers deprivation as parts of Enfield do.
“I am proud of both councillors and both deserve to win.”
Winners will be announced on the 25 February 2013.
