Running from the 5th to the 9th of October, National Customer Services Week is a celebration of customer service professionalism.  It is a chance to recognise and reward the achievements of customer service professionals, and the theme this year is about giving the customer a voice; showing how the Council is listening to and involving customers in its service delivery.

During the Week Enfield Council will run a variety of events and activities across the organisation to inform customers and recognise the work done by our Customer Services professionals on a daily basis.

The activities which will take place include:

  • A display of awards and certificates awarded to Customer Services Teams and individuals across the Council will be displayed in reception areas to highlight the good work of front line staff;
  • Customer Surveys will be undertaken at the Civic Centre and John Wilkes House. One completed form to be selected at random each day to receive a £20 gift voucher;
  • Customers given the opportunity at Ordnance Road and Palmers Green Library to pick up and drop off Council Tax and Benefit forms and leaflets;
  • The Council will also be promoting online self service via the website with 'how to' sessions at libraries and general enquiry points. The team will also be launching a Customer Satisfaction Survey for the website.
  • Information Day and launch of the Mortgage Rescue Scheme and advice for people facing housing difficulties in the borough;
  • The Council will be taking part in a pan-London mystery shopping exercise for Environment related calls into the Customer Services Centre;
  • Interactive Training Workshop for staff to attend where real life scenarios will be experienced where you can see what the customer sees hears and feels;
  • Staff from the planning department will be visiting Edmonton Green Library to promote the on-line planning services;
  • And more..
