Supporting People Services and One Housing Group (OHG) have joined forces to help vulnerable people in Enfield live independent lives.
The Mayor of Enfield attended an official launch of the Emerald House scheme on Thursday 10 September. Kevin Beirne Director of Housing, Care and Support at OHG welcomed guests and spoke about the benefits of the scheme for residents. Pauline Kettless was the CHS guest speaker at the launch. Customers were keen to show their visitors their new homes.
Emerald House, is a development of 13 one bedroom, self-contained flats for people aged 18 to 65. There is a shared lounge area and a landscaped communal garden.
This new supported housing service has a dedicated 24 hour staff team. The team work closely with other services in the borough to provide the support needed by each resident, particularly with Care Co-ordinators in the Community Mental Health Teams.
