It's Green for Go at new supported housing scheme Emerald House

One Housing Group (OHG) held an event on Thursday 10th September to mark the opening of its new Emerald House scheme in Enfield, which is run in conjunction with Enfield Council.
The scheme was officially opened by the Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Eleftherios Savva and Pauline Kettless, Supporting People Manager from Enfield Council.
Part of Enfield's Supporting People Programme, Emerald House is an exciting new service that is be the first in the borough to provide the very latest supported housing and specialist services 24 hours a day to 13 customers with mental health needs.
Comprising 13 self contained flats as well as a shared lounge and garden area, Emerald House has been designed to the highest specification by Project5 Architects, and includes various safety features such as a door entry system and CCTV. The service has a dedicated 24 hour staff team who work closely with other services in the borough to support customers and to prepare them for independent living in the community.
Commenting on the Emerald House scheme, Kevin Beirne, Group Director of Housing Care and Support at One Housing Group, said: "We are delighted to officially open Emerald House, a new scheme providing much needed supported housing and support services for people with mental health needs. It is flagship scheme that will deliver real impact and benefit for the local community."
Cllr Edward Smith, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Services said "I am delighted to see Enfield Council working alongside One Housing Group to help people who are vulnerable live in the community with support.
"This is a very exciting scheme which leads the way, and I hope to see similar projects set up to provide more help for people who have mental health needs to live independently."
