Bullsmoor Library open day

Published Wednesday, 06 June 2012

Bullsmoor area residents will be dancing with joy thanks to an open day on Saturday 9th June highlighting all the treats on offer at their local library.

In addition to showcasing regular library activities such as IT support and children’s storytimes, the Library will host health information sessions, dance workshops and a visit from the Fire Brigade.

Recently the library extended its opening hours, and is now open all day from 9am to 7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure, Cllr Bambos Charalambous said: “Bullsmoor Library is a community hub and a focal point for the estate. If people haven’t visited in a while, this open day will give them the chance to find out what they’ve been missing.

“With the new opening hours, we are making it more accessible than ever for people to come learn and discover.”

On the open day between noon and 4.00 pm people can also enjoy face painting, refreshments and join the Friends of the Library.
