People got their toes tapping and their hips shaking as Enfield Council welcomed the Big Dance Bus to the borough over the Jubilee weekend.

On Saturday 2 June, the Bus pulled into the Edmonton Green Shopping Centre. Fully equipped with and outdoor dance floor, sound system and DJ, this double decker provided a mobile stage for dance performances and workshops.

Professional and local dance groups entertained throughout the afternoon, and people joined in the fun with lessons in street, ballroom, Zumba, hip hop, hula and tango.

On Sunday, the Big Dance Bus set up in the Enfield Town Library Green as part of the New River Jubilee Festival and in celebration of the Big Lunch.

The Big Lunch is an annual national annual event that encourages neighbors to come together to share fun, food and friendship.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and Leisure, Cllr Bambos Charalambous said: "The Big Dance Bus is bringing fantastic free dance performances right to the heart of Edmonton and Enfield Town. I’m excited to see something so fun and unique visit the borough."

Other Jubilee events in borough included the Ponders End Park and Creative Market on Sunday 3 June, the Beacon Lighting at Albany Park on Monday 4 June, and the Craig Park and Croyland Youth Centres’ Street Party on Tuesday 5.
