Enfield’s Biggest Cultural Event is back! Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2009 (Both days) 10.30am – 6.00pm

Now in it's 56th year, the ever-popular Enfield Autumn Show returns to Town Park, Enfield.

Now a regular social occasion in the cultural calendar for Enfield, the Enfield Autumn Show is the borough's largest annual community festival, and this year it promises a wonderful weekend filled with an array of cultural and sporting delights!

From horticulture to world food - kids activities to sheep shearing - you can expect it all!

This year we have an exciting and enviable line-up of acts, performances and demonstrations that will enchant the whole family. Don't miss: The Knights of the Damned who will deliver a breathtaking display of jousting and horsemanship, and Wellgate Community Farmyard who will be bringing a few friends with them!

Other great activities include Greek and Turkish dancing, youth football and a German Strolling Oompa Band.

An unmissable and spectacular highlight of this year's show HAS to be the Colchester Bird of Prey Display team [pictured] who promise to show you the wonderful art of falconry! Prepare to be amazed as raptors take to the skies and get up-close and personal with the hawks and falcons as the team encourage you to come and touch the birds yourself!

A full range of services from Enfield Council will also be represented at the Enfield Council Village promoting the many diverse services that are offered to residents across the borough.

People will also have the opportunity to seek advice and guidance about aspects of the Council's services, and find out how the Council works with residents to make Enfield a great place to live, work and do business.

Local community groups and businesses will also be at the show, so this is a unique opportunity to discover what's available right across the borough!

What's more, organisers of the Enfield Autumn Show are offering discounted admission fees for 2009! Ticket prices are only £3.00 Adult and £2.00 Concessions. 16yrs and under GO FREE! Proof of age may be required.

Cllr Jon Kaye, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture said "The Autumn Show is a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to have a wonderful day out and enjoy themselves.

"This year we have an exciting array of acts to keep everyone entertained, I don't usually bang my own drum... but I have to say I am looking forward to the Oompa band! Plus we have some wonderful birds of prey, and heaps more entertainment for the whole family.

"Make sure you come to the Enfield Autumn Show, it's going to be the greatest show in town!"

Don't miss out this autumn - head on down to The Enfield Autumn Show!
