Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event

Date – Friday 2nd December 2011
Time – 12.00 noon registration 12.30pm start
Venue – Outside the front of the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, EN1
 
With special guest Chris Green, who is the Director of the National White Ribbon Campaign UK, the event will see men and women in heels walking a circuit of Enfield Town.
 
Cllr Christine Hamilton, Cabinet Member for Community Safety said “I am delighted to continue to support the White Ribbon Day events which send out a clear message that all forms of violence against women, like domestic violence, will not be tolerated.
 
“As a follow up to our giant projection beamed onto the side of the Civic Centre, this march repeats our message that violence against women is unacceptable and that perpetrators of violence will be held accountable for their actions.
 
“The march is a wonderful way to send out the message – to meet others and have fun too”
