Strike - Wednesday 30th November
Published Monday, 28 November 2011
Enfield Council is expecting disruption to services on Wednesday as the result of the public sector union strike by the GMB, Unison and NASUWT.
Refuse and recycling collections will be maintained where possible but the Council cannot guarantee they will take place. The Barrowell Green Civic Amenity site will also be closed on the day as a result of the action.
The collection of electrical goods will not take place but the furniture collection service will take place as normal.
Residents who do not receive a refuse or recycling collection this week will have their bins emptied on Wednesday 7 December.
With regards Children's Services there will be some impact on services but the Council and its partners will be prioritising services to those most vulnerable and at risk
The impact of the strike action on adult social care is expected to be minimal, we still expect to provide a care and support service to all vulnerable customers on that day.
People who have any concerns about social care issues should call the Council Access Team on 020 8379 1001.
Any other enquiries please contact 020 8379 1000.
