Ritzy and glitzy they’re putting on the style

‘Make Do Christmas’ is the theme of a new event at the Dugdale Centre on Saturday 10th December from 11am – 5pm.
Combining two events, Make Do Christmas brings together the vintage clothes and collectibles of the last century, with a gourmet inspired food festival.
And Cllr Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for leisure and culture with vintage expert, Auntie Maureen, got into the spirit donning retro garb for a glitzy photo shoot.
Cllr Charalambous, said, We want to appeal to collectors of fine fashion items and decorative pieces and to local gourmet food makers of chutneys and jams; those who know how to prepare home produced piccalilli and artisan mustards; flavour infused breads, cakes and buns, traditional sausages and spiced and potted meats.
This will be a nostalgic treasure trove of all good things from the past and we want them to book a stall as quickly as possible for this unique Christmas event.
Promoter, Auntie Maureen, said, This fair will offer something unusual for people seeking something different and surprising. It will be a fun, festive, family experience full of tradition.
Cllr Charalambous continued, We want to celebrate the festive season with the design delights from the past with retro classic clothes and collectible items.
But we also know that there are talented people from Enfield who are creative with knowledge of traditional foods. We want to hear from them so that they can be a big part of this celebration too.
The Dugdale Centre will be transformed for stall holders display their interesting, colourful goods and tasty gourmet foods.
It will be a shopping experience to savour in a welcoming environment that is both unique and charming.
Stallholders can email the.enfieldian.vintage.fair@gmail.com or call Auntie Maureen on 07432-430386 to make enquiries about booking a stall at the first Enfield 'Make Do Christmas' fair on Saturday 10th December.
