Nordic Walking returns!
Published Wednesday, 21 September 2011
Due to the vast success of earlier Nordic walking classes, two new sessions have been booked to take place in Trent Park.
Held on Mondays between 2.00pm and 3.00pm and on Saturdays between 11.30am to 12.30pm there is no excuse not to join in.
Led by an experienced walk leader, it is £36 for a 12 week course, and the sessions are open to everyone, both adults and children. Saturday classes start Saturday 24th September and Monday classes start the following Monday 26th September.
Nordic Walking involves the use of poles to ensure that the upper body gets as good a workout as the lower body, and it can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing.
Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture said Once again I am delighted to support the varied and exciting walks programme that Enfield Council offers everyone.
I took part in a Nordic Walking session myself and found it very enjoyable, and a marvellous way to get fit and enjoy beautiful Trent Park, I highly recommend it!
