Listen again Mr Lansley

Andrew Lansley, Secretary of State for Health is referring the recent report and supporting documents from Enfield Council’s health consultation on the future of Enfield’s hospitals to the Independent Reconfiguration Panel. (IRP).
In a letter to the Council's Health Scrutiny Panel, Mr Lansley states that he is expecting to hear advice from the IRP by 8th July.
Council Leader, Doug Taylor, said "At the end of the day the future of Enfield's hospitals is in the hands of the Secretary of State. He will make the final decision.
"Referring the matter to the IRP cannot be allowed to confuse the decision making. Andrew Lansley needs to be clear that he is accountable for this decision.
"Local people gave up a lot of time and effort to help the Council. They will be alarmed if their views are not properly considered by the IRP."
