International Voices rise together in Aylward Academy
Published Friday, 25 March 2011
On 10th March 180 pupils from Houndsfield, Churchfield and Brettenham Schools came together at Aylward Academy in Edmonton to celebrate the work they had been doing with Children’s International Voices to help practice their singing voices!
Children's International Voices have helped secure funding from Capital Radio Help a London Child to facilitate this work, and Aylward Academy have very kindly given their theatre for free so that pupils from all three schools can come together and celebrate, and sing the songs they have been learning.
Sarah McLean Extended Schools Manager said "All the children were so excited to be able to come together and all meet each other.
"For many of the youngsters this was their first time in a theatre, and they had a wonderful time singing and performing."
