Enfield children transferring to secondary schools in September have now received the results of their application for a school place.

96% of school preferences successful

Cllr Ayfer Orhan, Cabinet Member for School & Children 's Services, said," I am delighted to tell parents that there are sufficient school places in Enfield for every child transferring from primary to secondary schools this year.

"We have also been able to offer 96% of parents a school place for one of their first three preferences."

Enfield has again participated in the PAN London Co-ordinated Admissions System.

All London councils,  together with Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey and Thurrock exchanged information about applications to each other's schools and worked together to reduce the number of children receiving multiple offers.

Enfield Council, along with all its partners worked hard to ensure that Enfield parents were sent their information on National Offer Day, 1st March 2011.
