Enfield Council challenges Barnet, Enfield and Haringey (BEH) Clinical Strategy
Published Monday, 06 December 2010
In May this year the Secretary of State for Health laid down four tests which the review had to meet before it could progress. Following its meeting on the 30th November the Strategic Coordination Group (SCG) will inform NHS London that the overall review process has, in its opinion, met the four tests.
"If the tests are used to validate change then the Secretary of State must be 100% certain they have been met, or else he brings his own process into disrepute.
''There has been much opposition to the proposals within Enfield from the public and some GPs, and they will be bitterly disappointed if the safeguards offered by the Secretary of State appear not to be met.
"I will be writing to the Secretary of State to make my position clear, and I will be seeking answers."
