Published Tuesday, 24 November 2015

Thinking of tying the knot? Registering a birth? Researching your family tree? Then why not go along to Enfield Council’s Register Office Open Day to find out how our friendly team can help you?

Saturday 28 November – 12.00 noon to 4.00pm
1 Gentleman’s Row, Enfield, EN2 6QQ

During the day knowledgeable staff will be on hand to answer any questions you might have about the varied services they offer, and there will also be a small marquee in the courtyard offering refreshments (all proceeds of which goes to the Mayor’s charity).

Did you know the Register Office can:
- Help with genealogy and family history;
- Arrange a wedding to suit your budget in a number of beautiful venues;
- Assist you with your application for British Citizenship or Settlement;
- Conduct citizenship ceremonies;
- Arrange the renewal of vows or naming ceremonies.

Enfield Council’s Deputy Leader, Cllr Achilleas Georgiou, said “Everyone knows that to register a birth or death, or to get married in a civil ceremony, one goes to the Register Office.

“However our staff does so much more than that. From checking people’s residency status, being able to provide valuable information to help complete family trees and conducting citizenship ceremonies, the Register Office is a real hive of information”.
