Aldersbrook Park begins upgrade

Today Aldersbrook Park in Enfield was the centre of attention as Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Cllr Daniel Anderson, went to the park with the Friends to see for himself the start of its £118,000 redevelopment.

Aldersbrook Park The park renovations will see money from Enfield Council, Fields in Trust and the Mayor of London be used to create a playspace including swings, slides, trampolines and table tennis areas. There will also be a general improvement of the wider greenspace with new trees and plants plus a new graded slope leading to the play area.

Cllr Daniel Anderson, said “Aldersbrook Park is a well-used local park, but one that is in need of renovation.

“However, once the redevelopment is completed this park will be a haven for fun, boasting state of the art play equipment and landscaped green spaces. I will enjoy returning when it has been completed.”

Jozie Waldon from the Friends of Aldersbrook Park said “We are very excited to see that development work has begun after all the hard work the friends group has done together with the local community. 

“We look forward to seeing the finished results in November and of course to see the children’s reactions when they get to play on the new equipment for the first time.”
