EnfieldThinks, London’s first pop-up learning shop has been rated as ‘excellent’ by 92% of attendees, and between April and June saw over 866 people attend over 266 sessions at the site in Burleigh Way.

The shop, providing free workshops, lectures and masterclasses in a huge range of topics from the heart of Enfield town, has been rated a huge success.

EnfieldThinks was a partnership set up between the Council and Birkbeck College, with Barnet and Southgate College, Capel Manor College and The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London.

It offered free sessions on a diverse range of subjects, including business, agriculture, hairdressing, playwriting, cinema, media, first aid and local history over the 12 week period, aimed at all ages across the borough and all educational levels.

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Business Development, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said “Enfield Council leads the way when it comes to providing training and learning opportunities for its residents.

“EnfieldThinks was London’s first pop up learning shop, providing bitesize, accessible learning to over 800 people. The feedback was fantastic with the vast majority of people loving the experience.

“We really want to run this again next year so that even more people can benefit”.
