Mayor's Charity Fun Run

Published Friday, 21 August 2015

Why not dust off your trainers and raise money at the same time at this year’s Enfield Council Mayor’s Charity Fun Run at Forty Hall on Sunday 20 September?

You don’t have to run to take part - you can jog, run or walk either 3km or 10km routes either on your own or with friends and family.

All the money raised will go to the Mayor of Enfield’s Charity Appeal Fund which this year will be supporting local dementia charities.

The fun run starts at 10.15am and runners can register here: Link

Enfield Council’s Cabinet member for Public Health & Sport, Cllr Nneka Keazor, said: “The Fun Runs in Enfield are thoroughly enjoyable and have been successful every year.

"I’m urging everyone who is free on Sunday 20 September to sign up. It’s a fantastic way to spend time with friends and family while keeping fit and raising money for a good cause.”

The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Patricia Ekechi said: “The Fun Run is a great way to spend your morning in a beautiful setting while supporting a good cause. All money raised for the Charity Appeal Fund will be going to dementia charities to help sufferers and their carers in Enfield.

“Dementia is a terrible disease that robs the person of their sense of awareness, and impacts on the entire family. I am delighted that this year all money raised from the Charity Fun Run will be going to help these people in our community”.
