Careers Inspiration Event

Young people aged 16-18 living or studying in Enfield are invited to attend a special Careers Inspiration Event sponsored by BBC Children in Need and supported by Enfield Council, on Friday 21 August.


The event aims to help local youngsters to find education, employment and training which will improve their chances of securing a job.

The event takes place between 10.30am and 1.30pm but prospective job hunters are advised to come early to avoid disappointment.

It is being held at Thomas Hardy House, 39 London Road, Enfield.

Enfield Council's Cabinet Member for Education, Children’s Services and Protection, Cllr Ayfer Orhan, said: “This Careers Inspiration Event is a one stop shop for people aged 16-18 who live or study in Enfield and who want to know more about training, advice after exam results, apprenticeships or what vacancies are available with employers across the borough.”

Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Business Development, Cllr Alan Sitkin, said: “Enfield Council is doing everything it can to help youngsters find jobs that suit them, from the moment they leave school through to securing a job. If you are a young person in the market for a job, or want to find out about anything employment related, this event is for you.”
