Register 2- 8 February National Voter Registration Day is 5 February

As the pace quickens towards the general election on Thursday 7 May, Enfield’s election team is encouraging residents aged over 18 to register to vote.

No longer are heads of households able to register all those living at a single address. Individuals must now do this themselves. And it is very easy.

Residents can register online here or by contacting Enfield Council’s electoral services on 020 8379 8582.

To be eligible to vote people must be:
 •  18 years of age or over on polling day
 •   a British citizen, a qualifying Commonwealth citizen or a citizen of the Republic of Ireland
 •   not be subject to any legal incapacity to vote

Rob Leak, Enfield’s Council’s Chief Executive and the borough’s returning officer, said, “Now is the ideal time to register to vote. Individuals are responsible for their own registrations. But please do it soon.

“We don’t want anyone to be turned away on polling day because they have not registered. Our systems are ready to receive new registrations – so please do not delay.”
