eBay con man caught in act by council watchdogs

An Enfield conman has been sentenced to 250 hours of community service for selling over a 1000 bogus brands on the internet.
Andrew Green of Heather Drive, Enfield, pleaded guilty at Wood Green Crown court on 15 April for selling fake children's merchandise after an investigation by Enfield Council's trading standards team.
The goods included Bob the Builder, Disney High School musical, and various other children's merchandise including clothing, and blankets of various trade mark holders including Hanna Montana.
Sue McDaid, head of business regulation at Enfield Council said: "This is a great result which should send out a powerful message that no matter where or when, Enfield Council will be keeping an eye out for con artists as part of our determination to protect Enfield consumers and legitimate businesses."
