FREE furniture collection with the British Heart Foundation

Published Wednesday, 20 May 2015

Enfield Council is teaming up with the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to make it even easier for residents to get rid of their unwanted furniture for free!

The BHF can come and take away your sofa or other furniture for free, providing it is in good enough condition to be reused.

The furniture will then be resold through BHF charity shops throughout the UK, and all funds raised will support the charity’s pioneering heart disease research and patient care.

Cllr Daniel Anderson, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Community Safety said “We are delighted to confirm the British Heart Foundation as our partner to offer free reusable furniture collection in Enfield.

“Recycling furniture is great news for the environment and supports the Enfield 2020 sustainability programme as it reduces waste which goes into landfill, reduces flytipping and also allows people on lower incomes to purchase affordable furniture.

“It’s easy to book a collection, and all proceeds from the sales will go towards vital heart care research and patient care.”
