Enfield Council has launched a new campaign urging residents to switch paying their council tax to direct debit, and be in with a chance of winning £25,000 in a prize draw!

Direct Debit is the easiest way to pay council tax, it is simple to set up, spreads the cost and gives residents peace of mind that they never have to do anything else again, plus they always know they’ll never miss a payment.

Every resident who switches to Direct Debit will automatically be entered into the London-wide draw, and will be in for a chance to win the grand prize of £25,000.

People can set up the payments with their bank or building society, they will be made automatically, and the arrangement can be cancelled at any time.

Everything is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee, so if there is a mistake residents can get a full refund from their bank.

There is even a Direct Debit Control Centre App which helps residents stay in control of their direct debits whilst on the move using a smartphone or other wi-fi enabled device.

Cllr Achilleas Georgiou, the Deputy Leader of Enfield Council said “I would recommend that everyone switch to paying their council tax by Direct Debit.

“It is simple to set up, ensures your council tax is paid on time, at the correct amount, you can cancel at any time, and should there be a problem your bank guarantees the difference is refunded.

“The best part of all is that you are entered into the £25,000 prize draw. So sign up today!”

To set up your Direct Debit fill in the instruction form sent with your bill or call 020 8379 1000.
