Land charges team nominated for award

Enfield Council’s land charges department has been shortlisted for ‘The Best Customer Experience Award’ by Land Data, the official government appointed organisation that manages and regulates the National Land Information Service (NLIS) contracts.

The land charges team are responsible for assisting solicitors or advisors acting in the proposed purchase of a property to undertake searches of the Local Land Charges Register and answer related enquires.

This is a new award category for the 2015 awards, and it celebrates and promotes excellence in customer experience, rewarding local authorities that partner with the NLIS to offer an exceptional customer experience and deliver industry leading levels of service.

NLIS channels nominate local authorities who offer any value added services in order to make the search process better and a lawyer's life easier, and Enfield Council has been nominated by one of these customers.

The winner of the award is due to be announced at the Local Land Charges Awards in Bristol on 2 March 2015.

Cllr Andrew Stafford, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Finance and Property said “I am delighted to hear that not only have our land charges team been nominated for their excellent service and professionalism, but that they were put forward by one of our own customers.

“Our land charges team are at the forefront of customer services and I really hope this will be recognised by the judges”
