Mayor's Fun Run

Published Monday, 08 September 2014

Why not dust off your trainers and raise money at this Enfield Council Mayor’s year’s charity fun run at Forty Hall on Sunday 21 September?

You don’t have to run to take part- you can jog, run or walk either 3km or 10km routes either on your own or with friends and family.

All the money raised will go to the Mayor of Enfield’s Charity Appeal Fund which will be supporting charities that aim to provide support and guidance for those with learning difficulties this year. The fun run starts at 10am and runners can register here

Cllr Rohini Simbodyal, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport, Youth and Public Health, said: “The Fun Runs in Enfield are fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable and have been successful every year.

"I’m urging everyone who is free on Sunday 21 September to sign up. It’s a fantastic way to spend time with friends and family while keeping fit and raising money for a good cause.”

The Mayor of Enfield, Cllr Ali Bakir said: “The Fun Run is a great way to spend your morning –  in a beautiful setting while supporting a good cause – the money raised that goes to the Charity Appeal Fund will help to give more help and opportunities to those with learning difficulties in our borough. I hope that people can come along, have fun, and raise lots of money for charity”

The main sponsor of the mayor’s Fun Run is Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
