Enfield Council is marking the 100th anniversary of when Britain entered WWI with a number of events.

Each week for the next four years you will be able to read what the local papers were saying 100 years ago about the war. View news articles and stories from the Edmonton, Enfield and Southgate newspapers and find out more about this dramatic and life-changing chapter in the borough’s history.

This project has been devised by Enfield Council to commemorate the Centenary of the War. Look out for other commemorative events such as exhibitions, conferences, children’s activities, publications and new local memorials.
