My Enfield’s customer services revolution

Published Thursday, 27 March 2014

Customer services will be revolutionised to make it easier for thousands of residents, businesses and benefit recipients in the borough to access Council services online with the launch of Enfield Council’s online portal ‘My Enfield’.

My Enfield

The new portal on the Council’s website will allow people to register their details and then view their Council Tax/Business Rates account, as well as any Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims they may have, providing a better service to 120,000 households. Over 5,000 local businesses can also access their business rate information, and landlords can access their tenants housing benefits payment schedules if paid directly.

Essentially putting all of a person’s information in one place, ‘My Enfield’ will also let users complete on-line forms linked to their account or claim, to tell the Council of any changes to their circumstances, view documents which have been sent to them by the Council, or those they have sent to the Council that relate to Council tax, benefits or Business Rates.

Those who have registered can also use their account to automatically fill in the website’s many reports and request forms with their details. More services and information will be available to view for those who hold a ‘My Enfield’ account later in the year.

Help in getting online and using the Council’s website is available in libraries and the Council’s main reception areas.

Cllr Achilleas Georgiou, Deputy Leader of Enfield Council said: “’My Enfield’ is going to revolutionise the way we deliver customer services and the way people interact with the Council.

“It is quick and easy to sign up to and use, and once you are registered you can keep track of all your communications with the Council’s revenue and benefits service and apply for services, there is also support and assistance when you need it.

“We are committed to improving customer services in this borough and with ‘My Enfield’ available 24 hours a day, I am sure it will prove to be a quick and easy way for residents to access services and communicate with us.”
