There is no easier way to do it than online!!

Cllr Charalambous

Enfield Council’s website is going from strength to strength, last month it received 203,156 visits, and every day people go online to access council services, make reports, check jobs and find out more about other vital services.

This week, as part of a new campaign to show just how easy it is to use, Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure visited Café Lounge in Enfield. Whilst there he demonstrated how simple it was to access the website whilst out and about, as long as there is wi-fi and you have an enabled device.

After visiting the café Cllr Charalambous went to Enfield Town Library to find out how to use a PC and the internet to gain free access to Enfield Council’s online services. There he met ‘computer buddy’ Tas Anastassi who showed him how simple it is to go online and access hundreds of services in a few simple clicks.

Cllr Charalambous said “Going online means you never have to queue in an office or wait on the telephone again. Just log on and complete your task from the comfort of your own home, or even on the move from your smart phone. There is even a special site for use with mobile phones to make it even easier.

“You can pay a bill, report any environmental issues, apply for a job, find out about schools, in fact now you can do over 500 transactions online.

“If you do not have access to a PC, or have issues with using the internet then all you need to do is pop into any of our libraries where you can have free internet access and help to use the website if you so wish.”
