Attendees were inspired to take part in the programme by speeches from previous winners of the prestigious Enterprise Enfield ‘Start Up Business of the Year Award’ (Katy Davies from KatyBakey and Garry Kousoulou from Loving Social Media.)

Enfield’s Library and Museum Service with Enterprise Enfield successfully bid to the Department of Communities and Local Government and Arts Council England ‘Enterprising Libraries' Fund to deliver a unique set of free workshops to give local people all the help and advice they need to get started in business.

The Enterprising Libraries Scheme Offers:

- Expert business advice and guidance
- One day New Biz Workshop with ‘Start your own Business’ workbook
- Business Skills workshops
- Access to Microsoft Office 365 (Cloud) with training
- Two hours free usage and internet access in any Enfield library
- Free access to Enfield Library online resources

Cllr Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure Youth and Localism said “The launch was a fantastic success. Over 15 new businesses signed up on the day and there was a huge turnout.

“Inspirational talks were given by both Katy and Garry, and those who attended really saw for themselves how it could help their business ideas get off the ground, and help them grow.

“If anyone in Enfield has a business idea, they really should find out more about this amazing opportunity.”

To be eligible to join the scheme residents must attend a Barclay’s ‘Getting Ready for Business’ seminar, the final session is taking place in Enfield Town Library on March 24th. To book a place please visit Web
