A furniture company has been fined £6,000 and ordered to pay Enfield Council costs of £1,547.65, plus a victim surcharge of £120, after furniture that failed to comply with fire safety regulations was sold from two different premises.


Quasar shot down after health inspection

The former management of Enfield Quasar were found guilty of running unhygienic premises and instructed to pay fines totalling £4,000, council costs of £2,025.23 plus a victim surcharge of £120 after an inspection revealed filthy premises and poor cooking and storage procedures.

Cleaning company cowboy washed up thanks to Enfield Council

A cleaning company conman has been sentenced to 26 weeks imprisonment, suspended for twelve months, with an order to undertake 200 hours unpaid work after charging a 70-year old resident £10,000 for labour, which should have cost £2,000. He was also ordered to pay the victim £8,000 within 12 months, which was the difference between what she was charged and the market value for the work.

Enfield Council calls for names for new war memorial
