Emergency Planning

Emergencies and disasters can happen at any time and include such things as, fires, flooding, road accidents, industrial accidents, explosions, severe weather etc.

The main aim of the Emergency Planning Unit is to plan and prepare Enfield’s response to a major incident. This involves working closely with our partners who include, the emergency services, health authority, other Council Departments, other local authorities and voluntary agencies to guarantee that our response to a major incident is carefully managed. The plans are designed to minimise disruption and to ensure a return to normality as quickly as possible.

Also part of our responsibility is to ensure that residents and businesses within Enfield are kept informed of any potential risks in the borough and the arrangements that are place to ensure their safety.
