Council departments

Enfield Council is run by a Conservative administration. It has 63 councillors, representing 21 wards, each ward with three councillors. The councillors are democratically elected on a four year cycle and their role is to represent the views of local people and direct the policy of the Council. The administration of Enfield Council is headed by the Chief Executive and supported by a management team made up of the directors of each of the key Council departments, as shown by the structures chart below.

Over 7000 members of staff work for the Council across its entire range of services. The Council’s total budget is £216 million pounds.
