The council provides dog bins for the collection of dog waste and arranges for these to be emptied on a regular basis.

Libraries

Enfield Libraries provides a comprehensive range of services for customers of all ages, delivered by 15 branch libraries, a mobile library and a Home Library Service. Customers are able to choose from books, books on tape, music CDs, popular DVDs and language courses with every library carrying a stock of books in community languages as well as English. As well as borrowing facilities all libraries offer free internet access, as well as fax and photocopying services.

The local authority provides a licensed recycling centre (civic amenity site) for Enfield residents to dispose of general mixed household waste, and recyclable wastes.

Social services area offices

Enfield Social Services may be able to help if you need support with day-to-day activities such as eating and drinking, household tasks, getting washed, using the toilet because you are disabled, ill, frail, have a learning difficulty or a mental health condition which makes it difficult for you to manage. We can also help people who are carers to be able to continue to care for someone in their family or a friend who is finding it difficult to do these tasks.
