SPDs replace Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPGs) under the planning system introduced by the Planning and Compulsory Planning Act (2004).

Revised Draft Section 106 Supplementary Planning Document

Further Consultation on Revised Draft S106 Supplementary Planning Document to begin Wednesday 27th July and will run to 5pm Wednesday 7th September 2011.

In March 2011 the Council prepared consulted on a draft S106 Supplementary Planning Document to formalise and provide transparent guidance to developers on the planning obligations that the Council will seek to include in Section 106 agreements. It contains information on the different types of contribution which may be sought from developers in connection with planning applications e.g. transport, education, open space etc.

In response to comments made on the initial draft S106 SPD, substantive changes have also been made to the 'learning and skills', 'childcare' and 'business and employment initiatives' sections of the document.
