Ofsted registration for daycare providers
Ofsted registration for daycare providers
All providers of daycare for children from birth to eight years old have to be registered with Ofsted and are subject to regular inspections.
All daycare settings are subject to inspections under the Childcare Act 2006 while those in the London Borough of Enfield Partnership have agreed to:
- Provide a wide range of activities and experiences that help children to achieve the Every Child Matters Outcomes
- Identify a setting-based Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and have a Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy
- Involve a qualified teacher
- Let Ofsted or Independent Schools Inspectorate inspect their educational provision
Ofsted inspections and regulations are to achieve excellence in the care of children and young people, and in providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
All nurseries have to be registered with Ofsted. They are inspected regularly to monitor children's progress towards the learning goals set out in Early Years Foundation Stage.
