Extended School

A good question! The simple answer is that an extended school is one which consults regularly with it's children and young people, parents and local community about what extended services they would like. The school does it's best to try and provide services to meet these needs. It should offer as a minimum, access to the"full core offer" of extended services by working in partnership with others and signposting where it cannot provide the services directly itself.
