Sports Development

The Sports Development Team (SDT) works with local, regional and national partners to create equitable and sustainable opportunities for sports participation at every level.

The vision of the Sports Development Team is, 'Everybody Active: at school, in the workplace and in the community'.

Everybody Active is about making sports and physical activity integral to everyday life. For more details about the Everybody Active strategy click here.

SDT provides sporting / physical activity programmes and events for young people and adults. Examples of the programmes and events are:

• Adult Healthy Lifestyles Programme
• Young People's Programme
• Street Active Programme (FREE for 8 to 19 year olds)
• i Sports Disability Programme
• Holiday programmes - Half Terms, Easter, Summer
• Mayor's Charity Fun Run
• London Youth Games
• London Mini Marathon
• Many other events, activities and programmes.

SDT also work with schools, sports clubs, sports coaches and volunteers in the borough on various projects throughout the year.
