Sugar Smart survey

Many of us are having too much sugar and it’s bad for our health.

On average adults eat and drink twice the recommended amount of 7 teaspoons of added free sugar* each day whilst children consume three times the recommended amount of 5-6 teaspoons. One soft drink may be two to three times this amount – a 330ml can of the most popular soft drink contains 9 teaspoons of sugar!

*Free sugar is any sugar that is added to foods at home or by the producer, plus sugar naturally present in honey, syrups and fruit juices. It does not include sugar naturally present in milk or whole fruit and vegetables.

We want Enfield to become “Sugar Smart” by helping people in the borough to reduce their sugar intake. In order to do this we need your help!

Please answer the following short questions and tell us what you think we can do to help people eat less sugar.
